When the future seems uncertain, we often return to the past, not to imitate it,

but to look for pearls of wisdom that might be applicable in the present. One

such revival was that of the ancient boat-building tradition of the Poylnesian

people. Hōkūle`a is a canoe constructed entirely using indigenous knowledge,

and it is on a mission: to circumnavigate the globe looking for stories and

preaching the word of environmentalism. This is the story of Hōkūle`a’s voyage.
